Neural networks in a nutshell

neural network deep learning

Recently I had the privilege to held a webinar about artificial neural networks at Researchers Night 2020 as a researcher of Obuda University John von Neumann Faculty of Informatics. During my masters I have done my researches in this field. In three short vides I described and introduced what is a neural network and how it works (from the outside – as a user, and from the inside – as a developer).

Researchers Night 2020

Every year this event is held in around October, when the bigger universities invite researchers to present their work, research in seminars. Due to COVID pandemic, the physical seminars were not allowed to be held, so everything was moved to online platform.

For this occasion I was asked to present my research I’ve done during my MSc studies, what I was pleased to do.

Other interesting topics can be find on the official website.

Introduction

The request was to create videos for Researchers Night no longer than 3-4 minutes, so this is the reason for the length. I tried to fit all the basic information into this period, hopefully it was successful. Please note that these videos are in Hungarian language.

The videos were cut into three pieces, find them below.

Ending thoughts

This webinar was only for a quick(!) introduction into the neural networks, however the topic itself is huge (as part of machine learning as it was told in the 1st video).
